Why wasn't there a do dont list? Most I ever saw was stay outta public games. And had other members say they bot 24/7. There should be a thread of does and donts.

So moving on, what do I need to do to get back on? Besides buying d2 again. Makes a new account. Idk if they banned my ip or do they? I played through vpn some of the time. Don't think I had it up at time of the ban. But I guess I can use a VPN if they did.

How do y'all protect you accounts and items? Multiple account, centralized banking, switching accounts to bot on different days?

Let's get what everyone does. And make a thread for new people and other that might not know they have there neck out. And don't wind up like me with loads gone in a blink of an eye.

I ran my first bot almost 24/7. Got banned a little after 2 weeks.

Now i'm alternating between accounts every 8 to 12 hours and on a new ip. Testing to see if alternating may be better.

At the end of the day, you should expect the bot to be eventually banned. Mule stuff off to another account daily.

My personal rules.

DO:
  1. Consider any account you bot on at risk of ban at any time - If your account has sentimental value to you then don't bot on it.
  2. Limit your botting time (generally a good idea but some people get away with 24x7).
  3. Mule items off your bot account to a stash account and try and liquidate items into FG ASAP.
  4. Consider routes that have reasonable game time (10 second Pindle games for 8+ hours is highly suspicious).
  5. Play manually with friends occasionally.

DONT:
  1. Bot in public lobbies.
  2. Admit to botting in game, discord, or on any forum that can be linked to your battle.net.
